Botswana: Floods - Jan 2013
Flooding due to extremely heavy rains in the North-East and Central districts of Botswana has affected 842 households, including 32 households in Dukwi refugee camp, since mid-January 2013. The number of affected people is expected to rise as village reports are received and assessments completed. While the immediate shelter needs of virtually all affected people have been met, this response has almost completely exhausted existing supplies, limiting the capacity to respond to future hydro-meteorological disasters.
