Two children have drowned at the Boskop dam following a day of fun in the water.
The children were allegedly sliding down a watery embankment into a pool. Both children, boys aged between 6 and 8, went down the slide at the same time. A member of the public noticed the boys not surfacing after they fell into the pool. He immediately informed the authorities.
ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that both of the children had drowned. They were later declared dead at the scene. The appropriate authority will be investigating the incident further.
