The Mossel Bay Surf and Lifesaving club took part in the 2012 Lifesaving SA Championships and scooped up their fair share of medals.
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The 2012 Lifesaving SA Championships were held from 21 - 24 March in Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal. The Mossel Bay Surf and Lifesaving Club entered a team of 10 competitors who performed extremely well regardless of the very hot and humid conditions.
The Mossel Bay SLC members, coaches and management, congratulate all who competed. Special mention goes to the medal winners, Marcus Farnham (bronze for flag, boys u/19), Corné Meerholz (bronze flags boys u/16), Andrew van Wyk (bronze long run, boys u/19) and Hilary Ferris (bronze for flags, silver for beach sprint in the masters category). In the team category, the juniors achieved a 10th and the seniors a 15th position overall in the club competition.
In the final results the Mossel Bay team finished 12th overall, amongst the 25 clubs taking part in the competition.
