The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Real Time Weather Observation: Gemiston (24 April 2012)
Here is one photo of a silver lining at around 4pm this afternoon, and then two photos of the sky - it looked like pink & blue candy floss, but my camera didn't capture it too well, but in the second photo, you can see the broad linear lines of blue in the sky. Observers: Raine and Pierre Carosin
