22h10: Just started drizzling in noordhoek, 1-2 drops every 3-4 minutes. Clouds in the west are very dark. Biggish drops. Wind gusts about 5-10 minutes apart.
22h25: Sounds like the rain wants to fall...
00h56: Well the rain seems to be getting more frequent now. More drizzle than rain, wind picking up quite a bit. It looks like lightning in the distance, but very slight.
01h05: I meant to tell you, something I have not experienced before, there is lightning in the clouds, but no thunder. About 10 minutes between flashes.

The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.
