The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Knysna Red Cross needs community's help
KNYSNA NEWS - The Red Cross Shop in Knysna is looking for everybody's unwanted items, including books, that may be hiding away in attics, garages and closets.
These items are sold at the shop to help Red Cross to fund its disaster management projects and provide food and essentials to people in need.
The Red Cross branch in Knysna covers most of the Garden Route and Eden district.
All donations are appreciated.
