LANSERIA - Officials confirmed that the bomb scare at the Lanseria Airport, west of Johannesburg was nothing but an empty threat.
The airport’s spokesperson Johan Opperman said all is clear at the airport.
“We have just had clearance from the bomb squad. The article found is harmless.”
Opperman said all operations and services would resume after everything was cleared.
A bomb scare led to the evacuation of all passengers and staff.
Flights were delayed after a bag suspect to be loaded with a bomb was found abandoned.
