Bloemfontein - A Free State policeman burned to death after his house in Bohlokong caught fire, police said on Tuesday.
Sergeant Majang Skalkie said the burned body of Warrant Officer Thabo Joseph Molantoa, 46, was found in the fire-ravaged kitchen with his leg stuck in the security door.
Skalkie said police, fire brigade and medical emergency services were called to the scene on Saturday.
At the time the house was burning and the roof collapsed inside the house.
“Molantoa was alone inside the house when the fire started,” said Skalkie.
It was not clear how the fire started. Police have registered an inquest case.
