Man Killed In Freak Accident
A man believed to be in his mid thirties has lost his life after a freak accident at a construction site just off the R554 in Brakpan this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man lying on the ground near to a front loader machine and unresponsive. Paramedics assessed the patient and found he had sustained very traumatic injuries and possible internal injuries. Advanced Life Support intervention was performed on the patient to help stabilise him further. AER24 was called to airlift the patient due to the injuries he had sustained.
While AER24 was landing on the scene, the patient started to deteriorate and CPR was started. Unfortunately due to the injuries he had sustained in the incident, the patient passed away on the scene.
The circumstances around the incident were not clear but the local authorities were notified of the incident and would investigate the accident further.
