The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Montagu: Remains of the Montague ambulance that washed away
Images: Phil van den Bossche (Click on images for larger view.)
I was in Montague this past weekend and saw the remains of the ambulance that was washed off the road/bridge during the recent floods. What a sad and somber scene, especially since I believe the driver has still not been found. Thought I would share some of the photos with you/SAWDOS.
