  • Eastern Cape Province - Warning: Take action
  • Subject: Very Rough Seas; Very Cold Conditions
  • Detail: Valid 15 August 2012: 1.Very rough seas with wave heights between 4 to 6m are expected between Plettenberg Bay and Algoa Bay, spreading Port Alfred overnight and subsiding on Saturday morning. Valid 16 August 2012: 1.Very cold conditions are expected over the extreme northern highground.

  • Subject: Fire Danger
  • Detail: Valid 15 August 2012: 1. A high veldfire danger rating is expected over the central parts. 
  • Kwazulu Natal Province - Watch: Be prepared
  • Subject: Fire Danger
  • Detail: Valid 15 August 2012: 1. A high veldfire danger rating is expected over the northern parts. 
  • Mpumalanga Province - Watch: Be prepared
  • Subject: Fire Danger
  • Detail: Valid 15 August 2012: 1. A high veldfire danger rating is expected over the central parts. 
  • North West Province - Watch: Be prepared

  • Northern Cape Province - Warning: Take action
  • Subject: Very Rough Seas, Very cold and Snowfalls
  • Detail: Valid 15 August 2012: 1. Very rough seas with wave heights between 4 to 6m are expected, subsiding on Saturday. 2. Very cold conditions are expected over the western highground, persisting until Thursday. 3. Snowfalls are expected over the southwestern highground. 
  • Western Cape Province - Warning: Take action
  • Subject: Very Rough Seas, Gale Force Wind, Very cold and Snow
  • Detail: Valid 15 August 2012: 1. Very rough seas with wave heights between 4 to 6m are expected between Lamberts Bay and Cape Agulhas spreading overnight to Alexander Bay and Plettenberg Bay. 2. Gale force north-westerly winds (35kts or 65km/h) are expected between Cape Point and Cape Agulhas until midday on Wednesday. 3. Very cold conditions are expected over the western and central highground, persisting through to Thursday. 4. Snowfalls are expected over the western highground.
