The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Detail: Valid: 17-09-2012 ----------------- WATCHES: --------- 1. Very rough seas with wave heights from 4m is expected between Cape St Francis and East London. 2. A high veld fire danger rating is expected over the northern interior. 3. Severe thunderstorms are expected over the western interior. 4. Gale force NE winds are expected between Port alfred and Port St. Johns.
