Kaapstad – Die lyk van ‘n man, wat vermoedelik ‘n vermiste stapper was, is in ‘n kloof in die Bainskloof-berge gevind, het die Wes-Kaap se departement van gesondheid gesê.
Keri Davids, ‘n woordvoerder vir die nooddienste, sê ‘n vrywillige reddingspan het Dinsdagoggend voor 08:00 aan die Wellington-kant van die Bainskloof-pas op die lyk afgekom.
“Ons neem aan dis die vermiste man. Ons het ‘n tegniese reddingspan gestuur om die lyk uit te haal.”
Die vonds kom drie dae ná ‘n intensiewe soektog in die bergreeks.
Die vermiste 28-jarige man van Botswana het saam met vriende by ‘n gastehuis gebly en Saterdag omstreeks 18:00 gaan stap. Hy het nie ‘n rugsak of verversings saam met hom geneem nie.
Volgens owerhede was die man ‘n ervare stapper.
