Durban - KwaZulu-Natal should brace itself for a cold front that is expected to bring rain, thunderstorms and hail for the rest of the week, and continue into the weekend.
The SA Weather Service predicted thunder-storms across the province on Tuesday with a chance of severe wind and hail.
“This is associated with a cold front that is coming in. It will push cooler air into the province,” said forecaster Wisani Maluleke.
Temperatures are expected to drop from Wednesday, and more on Thursday, with a 60 percent chance of rain on both days.
While temperatures will rise from Saturday, the rain is expected to continue through the weekend.
“We are now in thunderstorm season, which is combining with the cold front, so it is difficult to say when the weather will improve,” Maluleke said.
