Francis Proudfoot Lanham wrote: This terrible storm hit Colenso near Ladysmith hail still falling near tennis ball size. Wind was not noticeable, started with what sounded like big stones in waves being thrown on our roof. Then strong hail and rain and then wind. For about 20 minutes.

SAWDOS: A severe thunderstorm with large hail was observed in the Colenso and Ladysmith areas last night at 20h05 SAST.  More info available on the SAWDOS FACEBOOK GROUP PAGES. The above images reflect the size of the hail that fell in these areas. We need to keep an eye on every single thunderstorm this season. No severe thunderstorm warnings was issued by the SAWS for yesterday, but as can be seen the weather has a mind of it's own. Do not assume that SAWDOS knows for certain that severe weather has occured. We want to hear from you!!
