Johannesburg - Two people died when their light aircraft crashed into the Ysterberg mountain range between Mokopane and Polokwane, Limpopo police said on Saturday.
"The police helicopter went there and we are currently trying to remove the bodies from the wreckage that is on the mountain top," said Colonel Ronel Otto.
She said the crash happened around 22:00 on Friday after the plane departed from Wonderboom Airport in Pretoria.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
