Plane lands on Durban beach

Durban - A light aircraft made an emergency landing on Durban's popular Snake Park Beach on Tuesday morning.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said there were no injuries reported from beachgoers or the husband and wife in the plane.

Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson Phindi Gwebu said the aircraft had suffered engine failure.

She said the cause of the engine failure was unknown and an investigator was on the way to the scene.
