Swaar reën rig steeds groot skade aan in die Laeveld in Mpumalanga en die oostelike dele van Limpopo. 'n Noodreddingspan is gestuur om 'n bus uit die oorvol Tubatserivier te verwyder. Die bus, wat sowat 10 mynwerkers van Mapodila na Extrata vervoer het, is meegesleur op 'n brug wat reeds onder water was. Die mynwerkers is ongedeerd. Die Nkomazi munisipaliteit soek intussen alternatiewe huisvesting vir mense wie se huise oorstroom en beskadig is. Oorstromings in die Hoedspruit- en Tubatse-omgewing word op sowat 10-miljoen rand beraam. Motoriste is ook gewaarsku dat groot klippe op die R36 naby Burgersfort oor die pad lê weens oorstromings by die Strydom tonnel.
