NATIONAL NEWS - There is no proof of crocodiles in the Klein Olifants River in Middelburg, the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency said on Wednesday.
"There is no confirmation that it was crocs," said Janie de Bruyn, the agency's anti-poaching head, who also helps with other complaints.
"I visited the area after a report of the sighting but didn't find any proof. There have been no attacks involving crocodiles."
He was responding to a report in the Citizen newspaper, which claimed that three small crocodiles and one large one had been spotted in the river.
