GEORGE NUUS - Voor die stormweer die Suid-Kaap Dinsdag getref het, was damvlakke in die gebied besig om te sak.
Die Tuinroetedam in George was Maandag 76,6% vol terwyl die Wolwedansdam in Mosselbaai op 84,3% gestaan het.
Teen vanoggend was daar nog geen styging te bespeur nie aangesien dit minstens vier dae neem voor die afloopwater die damme bereik.
Met nog reën op pad en 'n indrukwekkende 28 mm wat vanoggend by die waterwerke in Denneoord op George gemeet is, behoort die Tuinroetedam egter taamlik baie water by te kry.
By die George-lughawe is 19 mm gemeet en by Tierkophut 15,8 mm.
Die reënval in ander dele van die Suid-Kaap was ook goed.
