SAWDOS - The bank of cumulonimbus clouds south of the country which is towering out over the sea in Mossel Bay is still very prominent. In the above forecast the band of clouds is visible just offshore.  The SAWDOS will keep an eye on these clouds for further development.  The last time these clouds were observed it resulted in heavy rain over parts of the Southern and Eastern Cape. I would like to advise observers to be on full alert for the next 48 hours. Severe thunderstorms are forecast for today in Gauteng, Eastern Cape, Free State and Kwazulu Natal.  We might just experience severe weather in parts of South Africa today.
