Bloemfontein – 'n Twee-en-twintig-jarige student aan die Noordwes-universiteit het Saterdagmiddag in die hewige storm wat die Oos-Vrystaat getref het, omgekom.
OFM berig die jong man het saam met 'n groep studente by die Peninsula-kampterrein by die Vaaldam gekuier toe ‘n struktuur bo-op hulle meegegee het. Vyf van die studente is ook beseer.
Peter Karedi, ‘n polisiewoordvoerder, sê die student se naam kan nog nie bekend gemaak word nie aangesien sy naasbestaandes nog nie in kennis gestel is nie.
Karedi sê die hele terrein is verwoes.
Luidens vorige berigte het dié storm altesaam vyf mense se lewens geëis.
