CAPE TOWN – The Western Cape can expect another cold and wet weekend, the South African Weather Service warned on Friday.
However, residents will not experience any severe weather.
Several parts of the Western Cape experienced heavy rain and snowfall last weekend.
Officials were forced to close roads and mountain passes, and the army was deployed to assist with rescue efforts.
Meteorologist Henning Grobler said, “We expect another cold front by Saturday and it will bring in more rain showers over the Western Cape. It will then start clearing on Sunday, but the cold conditions will remain.”
