Two men, thought to be father and son, were injured in a helicopter crash landing at the Grand Central Airport in Johannesburg.
The cause of the accident and the series of events leading up to it remain uncertain and will form the subject of a South African Civil Aviation Authority investigation.
Common cause information suggests that the aircraft crash landed and came to rest on it’s side.
Netcare1 Medical crew, stationed at the airport, witnessed the incident and rushed to the wreckage. Both pilot and co-pilot were treated for injuries they had sustained and were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
