JOHANNESBURG - Wet weather has been the cause of at least 15 car accidents, the Johannesburg Metro Police said on Saturday.
Johannesburg Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said they have responded to 15 collisions across the city since Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, three people were killed on the Western Capes roads, two of which were pedestrians who were knocked down.
The other died in a head collision on the N1 near Matjiesfontein, Cape Town.
Western Cape traffic chief Kenny Africa said bad weather is a key factor.
“[Drivers] must make sure that they do not overtake at spots where it is dangerous to do so. Rather stay behind the vehicle until such time you can see well ahead of you.”
