The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Video: Flash Flooding Port Elizabeth (23 June 2012)
The SAWDOS received the following video of flash flooding in Port Elizabeth from Wayne Hart, AlgoaFM presenter. The SAWDOS expressed its concern of possible flash flooding in the Eastern Cape in two articles available HERE and HERE. Thanks to Wayne for the video and information.
