Western Cape fire fighters are attending to a veld fire at the Plattekloof Nature Reserve on Wednesday.
A helicopter has been dispatched to water bomb the area.
However, Cape Town Fire and Rescue's Mark Bosch said they were managing to contain it fairly well.
“At the moment it’s mostly just vegetation. Luckily for us, the wind is blowing the fire up toward the top of the hill so there’s no residential property in danger, at present."
