Overberg firefighters are still struggling to extinguish a blaze in the mountains above Swellendam on Friday.
The fire broke out in the area on Thursday.
Hot and windy conditions are hampering their efforts.
Overberg Fire Chief Reinard Geldenhuys said they are water bombing the area.
“At the moment, we’ve managed to contain all the lines north of the town. We still have a very strong line in the mountain moving in an easterly direction, which is difficult to control due to strong winds."
