Johannesburg – Twee mynwerkers het in 'n rotsstorting by die Modikwa-myn in Burgersfort, Limpopo, gesterf het die Nasionale Unie van Mynwerkers (NUM) Saterdag gesê.
Woordvoerder Lesiba Seshoka het gesê die ongeluk het Vrydagmiddag by die myn, wat op die grens van die Mpumalanga- en Limpopo-provinsies geleê is, plaasgevind.
"Ons is regtig teleurgesteld om in Januarie reeds meer as 10 sterftes (in myne) te sien. Verlede jaar was die sterftesyfer net meer as 120," het Seshoka gesê.
Die name van die oorledenes is nie bekendgemaak nie.
