The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

SAWDOS: Take note of the intense low pressure system just of the coast of Madagascar. The SAWDOS monitored this system for the past few days for tropical storm or cyclone development. Will keep our readers posted of further developments.
