Johannesburg – Die lyke van twee seuns wat verdrink het toe hulle in ‘n rioolpyp geswem het, is Sondag in Lawley, suid van Johannesburg, gevind, het Johannesburgse nooddienste gesê.
Nana Radebe, woordvoerder, het gesê die lyke van ‘n 10-jarige seun en ‘n 14-jarige seun is Sondagmiddag uit die pyp gehaal.
Sy het gesê vier seuns het toegang tot die Pikitup-perseel gekry sonder om deur veiligheidswagte gesien te word.
Nadat hulle in die water geklim het, het hulle besef dit was te diep, het Radebe gesê.
Volgens haar het twee van die seuns uitgeklim en toe gesien hoe hul vriende sukkel.
Hulle het die veiligheidswagte geroep, maar die seuns het toe reeds verdrink.
