The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Intydse Weerwaarneming: Despatch (1 February 2012)
So twee drie dae terug het ek n voeltjie hoor fluit toe sĂȘ ek my vrou luister daar hoor hoe fluit die reen voeljie. WN Johann Pretorius, Despatch
