The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Moonstruck 2012 : Clifton 18 February 2012
Spend a magical evening of entertainment and live music under the stars with your loved ones … and support NSRI.
Moonstruck 2012, presented by 567 CapeTalk with BP Express, takes place on Saturday 18 February on Clifton’s 4th beach from 18h00. The beach will be transformed into an open-air dance floor as it comes alive with the sounds of leading local Solid Gold session bands.
With a live session band bringing listeners their favorite Solid Gold hits, Capetonians are encouraged to bring along their picnic baskets, kick off their shoes and celebrate an evening of good music at the picturesque Clifton beach. Sea Rescue will be selling glow sticks and other NSRI memorabilia to raise funds for a new Rescue boat at Bakoven.
Please do not bring any alcohol to the beach.
