Johannesburg - Families living in Tsakane Extension 10, on the East Rand, will be relocated because sinkholes are developing on their land, the Ekurhuleni municipality said on Sunday.
There were also underground rocks, which had made it difficult to install services, spokesperson Justice Mohale said in a statement.
A piece of land had been acquired in Langaville Extension 10 which was suitable for residential living.
All residents of Tsakane Extension 10 would be relocated as soon as the stands in Langaville were fully serviced," Mohale said.
He said the relocation would ease congestion in the Tsakane area.
