Six tourists have been buried in an avalanche in northern Norway, the BBC and NHK report.
The tourists were among 12 foreign skiers on Mt. Sorbmegaisa in Kaafjord when the accident occurred this afternoon, according to local police.
A medical helicopter and army personnel have been sent to the scene, the BBC reports.
Update at 11:34 a.m. ET: The Norwegian broadcaster NHK reports that one of the victims has been rescued alive.
