Danabaai odour complaints addressed

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - An ambient air quality station was recently commissioned in Dana Bay to monitor the air quality for dangerous emissions 24 hours per day. A joint operation 'Blitz' compliance and enforcement action is also planned for later this year.

This follows complaints by Dana Bay residents in 2011 about the gaseous, chemical smells and related health issues in the area.

Authorities are approaching the complaints in a serious manner and various steps to address these complaints are being implemented.
