KNYSNA NEWS - The residents of Greater Knysna are urged to use water sparingly, although the rainfall figures show a slight increase in the February 2012 rainfall compared to the figures for the same period in 2011.
The historical average rainfall for February is 52.4mm and this year 86.8mm rainfall was recorded during February.
This increase is due mainly to the 73mm of rain that fell during the week of January 30 to February 5, 49mm more than the same week during 2011.
However, compared to 2011, less rain has fallen in all the other weeks.
The Akkerkloof Dam remains between 81.5% and 87,7% full.
