Dramatic spring heavy rain and hailstorm have struck the Iranian capital of Tehran, surprising residents and causing traffic jams across the city. The fierce storm packed with thunder and lightning battered the northern parts of the capital and lasted for more than an hour. Running hails flooded the streets, causing traffic jams in several neighborhoods. There have been no reports on possible damages to cars and other properties. The heavy hail shower, however, has upset farmers as it could damage their orchards. The Iranian capital, as well as many other cities across the country, has been experiencing rainy weather since Friday night.
