A fire occurred at approximately 22:32 on Thursday 05 April 2012, at Sikese Street, Wallacedene near Kraaifontein.
The fire destroyed 5 backyard dwellings and also damaged 2 formal dwellings that left 25 people displaced.
An unidentified adult male died in the fire.
The City’s disaster response teams will provide humanitarian and social relief aid today.
It is unclear how the fire started and an inquest docket has been opened to investigate the incident.
