A huge storm, accompanied by hail, was reported late last night from the town of Trstenik in southern Serbia, and surrounding villages. Damage was done to farming households in two villages. In the 15 minutes that the storm peaked in Velika Drenova and Selište, 10 to 20 centimeters of ice fell, state broadcaster RTS reported. The hails were described as being "hazelnut-sized", and produced damage on some homes, as well as on orchards and greenhouses. The local municipal commission in charge of assessing the damage will be in the field "during the holiday", it was announced.
