The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Real Time Weather Observation: Noordhoek, Cape Town. (13 April 2012 18h07 SAST)
Noordhoek:
I guess the gap to be about 15km-20km from this front to the previous photo I sent in.
Now 18h07. Berg type wind was gusting from WNW for 5 mins, wind now gentle, dissipated totally and then 3-5 minutes later it gusts a little again. Wind seems to be cooling a little and then getting warmer again. The gusts seem to bring in a little warm wind and leave some coolness behind.
There seems to be a pattern between the gusts and the calmness.
