The Western Cape has experienced its first snow on the Matroosberg Mountains near Ceres, signaling the start of winter.
It is the earliest snowfall in three years.
The Matroosberg Private Nature Reserve's Didi de Kock said the peaks are white.
“It started snowing down on Saturday. People came out on Monday to see the snow and they were impressed with what they saw.”
