The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.
Snow on the peaks of the Drakensberg (24 April 2012)
15h12 SAST - Snow fell overnight on the high lying areas of the Drakensberg. Here is the current webcam image of the weather conditions at Cathedral Peak Hotel. It really looks cold.
