Johannesburg - South Africans have been warned to expect some seriously cold weather over the weekend, as a cold front brings the first winter weather of the year.
Beeld reports that the cold front will hit coastal areas on Thursday night and that those in the interior will be feeling the cold by Saturday.
“After the cold front, people can keep their unpacked winter clothes out because the cold will definitely stay,” said weather forecaster Jan Vermeulen.
Gauteng had been seeing some warm weather lately, with Pretoria and Johannesburg basking in temperatures in the high 20s.
