The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Images: Japanese fishing vessel stranded on Clifton's First Beach
Images: Jakes ZS1ITP (Click on images for larger view.)
SAWDOS: Many thanks to Jakes ZS1TP for the above images of the trawler. Jakes has gone out of his way to take images on two occasions of the ship. Jakes I don't know how you did it as access to the area has been real tight. Many thanks for the effort.
