A man has sustained various injuries this evening after allegedly falling four storeys from an apartment balcony in Welkom.
The cause of the incident is unclear at this stage, but the man was found at the foot of a apartment building and in severe pain. The reason for the man plummeting to the ground is unknown. Paramedics treated the man at the scene for a broken right leg as well as a injury to his face and suspected back and neck injuries.
The man was then immobilised to special equipment before being transported to a nearby medical facility by another ambulance service. The appropriate authority will be investigating the incident further.
