Police say the death toll has reached 17 from weekend flash flooding in western Nepal. Another 47 people are missing and presumed dead.
Police official Shailesh Thapa said rescuers were searching the banks of the Seti River on Monday for the missing people and helping those who had lost their homes and family members.
Police say three of those missing are Ukrainian tourists. They identified them as Oleksandr Dubinskiy, Ivan Malaknov and Alla Polonchuk.
The flooding was triggered by an avalanche that blocked the river about 200 kilometers (125 miles) northwest of capital, Katmandu.
