The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Pizza delivery to Trawler - A new service to passing ships!!
Three pizza delivery workers deliver hot pizza to members of the salvage crew and crew onboard the Japanese fishing trawler, Eihatsu Maru, after it ran aground off the exclusive Clifton beach in Cape Town, South Africa 15 May 2012. Thankfully it has now been refloated and is currently in Cape Town harbour for inspection.
SAWDOS - Wonder if pizza companies are willing to deliver pizzas to ships anchored in Table Bay? Might just be a profitable venture but a logistical nightmare. Alternative pizza companies can make use of helicopter services to deliver a few pizzas to ships in the Bay. Unfortunately no profit for the company but full marks for service delivery.
