Netcare911 Paramedics have responded to a blaze which gutted nearly ten shacks in the Plastic View informal settlement in Moreleta Park, Pretoria, this afternoon.
The cause of the fire will form the subject of a South African Police Force investigation.
Common cause information suggests that an unwatched candle may have sparked the fire, which spread quickly and razed several shacks to the ground.
Netcare911 Paramedics are standing by. No injuries or fatalities have been reported at this stage.
