BUFFEL'S BAY NEWS FLASH - According to unconfirmed reports, three surfers narrowly escaped an attack by a Great While Shark, approximately four metres long, at Buffel's Bay yesterday afternoon (May 3).
One of the surfers was reported as saying that a large fin broke the water as he was sitting up on his board. It then moved toward a fellow-surfer.
It was further reported that the surfers had huddled together and moved slowly toward the rocks while trying to keep an eye on the water swirls created by movement of the shark's tail and fin.
No further information is yet available.
